Perfect Love

So therefore my friends I ask you are you Stupid In Love with the groom? In Matthew 22:37-38, Jesus replied: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment." Is Jesus the very first thought when you awake with in the morning? Is He the last thing you think about before drifting off to sleep? Is He the one you turn to before you walk into that important meeting with your supervisor? And do you give Him praise when you realize that He went before you, and caused all things to work together for your good? Do you consult Him before you purchase your vehicles, your home, or make that move? I can tell you from experience that when you do these things you will fall more and more Stupid In Love with Christ. He cannot be anymore in Love with you than He already is. For He is perfect Love, is He not? We certainly can Love Him more, can we not?

I'm reminded of a scripture that is often read at wedding ceremonies you may be familiar with it. Love is patient, Love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. (1st Corinthians 13:4-8) The Lord Loves you today with an unending Love. He is patient to see His marriage through to completion. Read this scripture over again and again and mediate on Christ. Christ is Patient. Christ does not envy. He does however boast and is very proud of you, His bride. He is only self seeking in your Love. He is slow to anger, He keeps no record of your wrongs, and He delights only in good and truth. Christ will always protect what is His (you). He will always have hope in you, He will always persevere and will never never fail (you). Amen!

Arise today, don your wedding garments for the groom is ready. Not only to Love but to be Loved. May you walk, talk, and smell of the Love of Christ today and everyday. Forgetting not to share this Love with everyone you meet along your journey. And now may the Love of Christ and the Fellowship of the Holy Spirit Be with you Now and Forevermore
